LEADERSHIP Communicate your strategic plan in meetings regularly so people see the connection between what you are saying and what they are working on.
MEETINGS As well as having career conversations with staff, check in on life conversations so you know when people are transitioning into different phases of their life and have different needs.
PEOPLE Create Walking Meetings: have staff pair up, walk for 20 minutes to discuss an issue, then huddle together to share ideas, repeat with a different partner. Return refreshed to the office and allow 20 minutes to implement or follow up on outcomes.
PRESENTATIONS 'Be on before you are on' - don’t wait for ‘your turn’ before you stand to present to get in the moment. Build deeper breathing and posture into your body prior to presenting to ensure you have the right energy.
TECHNOLOGY Connect clients, staff and customers to your work in progress via VSEE.com (it’s like a beefed-up skype!).
Easy to download and is great to share and edit documents while working on them together. Great sound and visual quality as well. Terrific for staff who are working flexibly and are not around for meetings.
